Manitoba Tories to Crack Down on Rural Crime with Crime Reduction Teams

A re elected Manitoba Progressive Conservative Government will invest 2.8 Million Dollars from their Safer Streets, Safer Lives action plan to crack down on rural crime.

This would be done by establishing new RCMP crime reduction teams throughout the province and by supporting efforts to dismantle street gangs.

Recent statistics showed that Manitoba’s rural crime rate was 42 percent higher than its urban crime rate.

If re elected the PC’s would add officers to the existing northern district crime reduction enforcement team and they would invest in two new crime analysts to help the RCMP identify criminal trends and crime hotspots.
