More details have emerged from Tuesday morning’s police standoff here in The Pas. A report came in around 5:30AM of a man with a firearm at a residence on Head Avenue.

When police attended the scene they surrounded the home while attempting to make contact with him.

Officers spoke with the man and after several hours they convinced him to surrender.

The 36 year old man who has not yet been identified was arrested and he faces several weapons charges.
