Kelsey Community Schools Indigenous Cultural Week Ran from June 17-21^st and it was a huge success with lots of positive feedback from the staff students, and community members.

Some of the activities and events held at the school included tipi building, basic Cree lessons, and bannock baking.

Teachers in all schools across Canada are encouraged to bring indigenous teachings into their curriculum and one of the best ways for teachers to learn about indigenous culture and traditions is to bring in knowledge keepers and elders to their classes.

The staff at Kelsey Community School would like to thank Heritage Canada for providing them with a grant that allowed them to put on these events and activities.
