Province to Transfer Ownership of Grace Lake Airport to Mathias Colomb Cree Nation

The Manitoba government is entering into an agreement with Beaver Air Services Limited Partnership, Missinippi Management, and Mathias Colomb Cree Nation on the sale of the Grace Lake Airport.

Premier Brian Pallister stated in a news release that the transfer of the Grace Lake Airport to a community based company owned and operated by a first nation’s entity means the real benefits of this agreement will stay in the community for a long time.

He noted that they believe strongly in MCCN and their companies in their ability to continue to bring real economic benefits to the people of their community.

MCCN Chief Lorna Bighetty would like to thank the Manitoba Government for the opportunity to ensure that the ownership remains in the community and they look forward to continuing to work with the government and their partners to keep economic benefits of this agreement at home.
