An investigation into a poaching incident has resulted in charges against two people. According to a report from Manitoba Sustainable Development the incident occurred last month where a moose was illegally shot on private land in Carrot Valley.
Another moose was killed south of The Pas. The investigation resulted in charges of hunting from a provincial highway, possession of illegally taken wildlife, and hunting on private land without permission.
Manitoba Sustainable Development would like to thank the public for their continued efforts and tips.
The names of the two poachers have not been released.
