Niki Ashton’s latest MP report stated very clearly that rich and powerful corporations shouldn’t get special treatment.

 

In recent months, Ashton says there has been a lot of talk about how Canada is a rule of law country and how the Liberal government has used that phrase in comparing Canada to other countries.

 

However, Ashton feels the Federal Government sees two sets of laws,  one for rich and powerful corporations and one for the rest of us.

 

The scandal regarding allegations that the Prime Minister’s Office pressured Jody Wilson Raybould, the former attorney general,  into dropping charges made against SNC Lavalin is behind her reasoning for this.

 

Ashton says there needs to be an independent Public Inquiry into this scandal.
