In her latest MP report Niki Ashton says we need to act now on the housing crisis in Canada and in Northern Manitoba.

She stated that there is a housing crisis among first nation’s communities in our region and waiting lists for houses are getting worse and there are more and more houses in poor condition.

The NDP caucus has released the first part of a plan to build half a million affordable housing units over the next decade and Ashton firmly believes that money should be spent on affordable housing instead spending money on a pipeline. 

She concluded her report by saying that everyone in Canada should have a safe and affordable place to call home.
