The Canadian Red Cross would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of its volunteers in The Pas and area. According to a news release The Pas and areas 17 volunteers have devoted more than 220 hours to help people in need. Last year the volunteers went to Winnipeg, Brandon, and Thompson to assist 7,000 people that were evacuated from their homes due to forest fires.

The Red Cross has also presented five year milestone certificates to Jamal El Kadri, Katherine Johnson, and Melanie Young and three year milestone certificates to Carol Johnson and Michelle Sabet.
