The first council and committee of the whole meetings of 2018 for The Town of The Pas were held on Monday.

The council meeting went by relatively quickly but a lot was discussed at the committee of the whole meeting. Some of the items brought forward at the committee of the whole meeting included a variation application for a building on Constant Avenue, The updated EMO Plan, an engagement letter for the 2017 audit, and board reappointments for the Sam Wallar Museum.

A request also came forward with regards to Stand Up For Oscars Place requesting a meeting with council to discuss the ongoing issues with the Oscars Place Homeless Shelter. It has not yet been determined when council will meet with the Stand up For Oscars Place Group.

The next council and committee of the whole meetings are set for January 22^nd
