Yesterday, a new art exhibit called “Trying So Hard to Be So Hard” also known as “Hard Kids” opened at the Sam Wallar Museum. The Exhibit features Batik portraits done by artist Karen clark. The artwork was made using excessive layers of wax and dyes and the portraits contain various facial expressions.
Museum Director Sharain Jones says she likes how vibrant the fabric looks with the various types of wax and dyes that were used in the artwork. The art exhibit will be on display until March 23rd
