With the recent announcement that The Hudson Bay Railway has laid off some of their employees and the rail line to Churchill not yet repaired The Pas Mayor Jim Scott says it’s obvious that the rail industry in Northern Manitoba is getting smaller.

He says the federal government needs to have a serious one on one discussion with Omnitrax the American Based company that owns The Hudson Bay Railway to make the repairs saying quote “They own a railway and they should be held responsible to fix it.” He added that it seems like nothing is being done to fix the railway.
