The Town of The Pas held a special meeting on Monday to make sure that everyone is heading in the same direction regarding the ongoing issues with Grace lake Airport.

According to The Pas Major Jim Scott The Provincial Government announced in April they were ceasing there funding for The Grace Lake Airport that would eventually result in the airports closure.

Shortly after the announcement Missinippi Air asked for a letter of support on their effort to take over the ownership of Grace lake Airport and they were offering up the opportunity to mediate, so that both airports in The Pas could be seen in a viable and positive way.

Scott went on to say that the town hopes that the mediation can take place sooner or later, because they do not want to displace anyone or have people lose jobs. They want to ensure that The Pas Airport is no longer in a situation where it is losing money.
