The Kinsmen Club of the year is getting ready for their annual highway clean up. The adopt a highway program was brought to The Pas Kinsmen club in 1998 and they have been picking up garbage on PR287 between PTH 10 and the Clearwater Lake Airport ever since.

The club will meet at the Clearwater lake park on Saturday at 10 AM and it is expected to take them 2 to 3 hours to finish the clean up. Kinsmen Club President Kevin Carlson wants to encourage the public to travel with caution through Clearwater Lake Park as members will be cleaning both sides of the road.

The club estimates that they have picked up over 19,000 pounds of garbage over 19 years.
