OCN Flood Update

A total of 113 people have been evacuated from their homes in the Bracken Dam area of Opaskwayak First Nation due to flooding caused by ice jams on the Carrot and Saskatchewan Rivers.

 

The Canadian Red Cross has assisted residents in finding temporary shelter as well as providing food and other support services.

 

Bracken Dam evacuees are currently staying in hotels in The Pas.
