The Manitoba Government has appointed eight new members to the University College of the North Governing Council.
Tracy Como, a Cranberry Portage resident and director of the Métis employment department for the MMF was appointed as a member for a term of office that will end on June 30th 2018. The Pas residents Edith Sexsmith, Linda Markus, and Sharain Jones were also appointed as members
Ian Wishart Minister of Education and Training stated in a press release that the candidates bring an impressive array of wisdom and experience that will benefit the college community throughout their terms.
The UCN’s Governing Council is responsible for determining the college’s mission, vision and values.
