Have you ever thought about, or pictured a male taking a lap around the Otineka Mall in red high heels. Next Friday they will as the Aurora house is hosting their annual Walk a mile in her shoes fundraiser. Dawna Pritchard the Aurora House Executive Director says it’s a important fundraiser for the shelter. "Well most shelters are underfunded in a lot of areas, so it goes to our programming, buying activities for the kids, purchasing towels, we're always in need of towels at the shelter, bedding, replacing different capital cost items because none of our funding covers any of the capital costs." Walk a mile in her shoes is next Friday at 6pm at the Otineka Mall. They ask you register by calling the Aurora House at 204-623-7427.
