This September the Opaskwayak Cree Nation will go to the polls to vote for a new Chief and Council. The final candidates list are in and running for chief are Christian Sinclair and William J McGillivray. Current OCN Chief Michael Constant is not running. Running for Vice Chief are Jennifer Flett, Dale Knutson, Ken young and Ron Fidler. There are 7 councilor positions up for election too and have 31 candidates running. The election will take place on September 15th at the Kikiwak inn.
