The Oil Spill into the North Saskatchewan River in Maidstone Saskatchewan still isn’t expected to reach the Manitoba border. Town of The Pas Municipal Superintendent Saman Mirza-Agha reported to council that fire wells have been connected to The Pas water in case of an emergency. Husky Energy has cleaned up over 140-thousnad liters of the oil within 20km of the spill site. Oil is still 700km from the Manitoba Border and the office of drinking water is not worries about the chance it makes it to The Pas. Husky has set up 60 testing spots between the spill and Prince Albert.
