We talked about some of the commitments that have been made to municipalities, the commitments that have been made towards housing for example, but obviously what I think we're all keen to see is these commitments come to fruition."

Ashton adds she is receiving encouragement to run for the leadership of the federal NDP and says she will be considering it over the summer as the vote is not until October 2017.
