The Empowering Youth Traditional Pow Wow will be held in August this year. Kenneth Henderson who’s on the committee for the Pow Wow hopes the young people will get involved. "We have a new generation of dancers out there within OCN and the north. There's a 'push' happening within the cultural section and pow-wow has a big part in that and there's so many young dancers coming about and I think this is a great opportunity because the theme of our pow-wow is "Empowering our Youth Traditional Pow-wow."
It will be held from August 12th to the 14th at Arbour Site. This year’s Pow Wow is a traditional Pow Wow as opposed to the competition Pow Wow last year.
