It’s almost election time in OCN as residents will go to the polls to vote for Chief, Vice Chief and Councilors. The Opaskwayak Cree Nation Election is set for Sept 15th, but next week a meeting of the electors will be held. Tuesday, 6pm, at the Kikiwak Inn the meeting will be held to nominate candidates for the positions. There are 7 councilor positions, 1 Vice Chief and 1 Chief.
