There was an increase in the number of people killed on Manitoba's highways last year. R-C-M-P say 79 people lost their lives, compared to 74 the year before. Mounties say impairment by alcohol or drugs was a factor in 40 per cent of the crashes that happened in 2015. 8 of the 70 fatal collisions in the northern part of the province, 30 in the west and 32 in the east.
