Hudbay Minerals has announced David Garofalo will be resigning as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has accepted an appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of Goldcorp Incorporated. Hudbay also announced it has appointed Alan Hair as President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1st. Hair has served as Hudbay’s Chief Operating Officer since 2012 and has held a number of senior leadership roles in business development and operations at Hudbay since 1996. Garofalo says Hudbay’s development as a Company over the past five years is a testament to the hard work, dedication and competence of their employees across the organization adding he is very proud of all they have been able to accomplish and will miss the wonderful culture they have built at Hudbay.
