A 23 year old male has been charged with second degree murder. Earl Peter Lathlin was originally charged with aggravated assault after a 62-year-old male was found with critical injuries at a residence at Crossing Bay. The 62-year old male later died in hospital of his injuries and Lathlin was re arrested and charged with second degree murder. Moose Lake RCMP responded to the call on July 3rd. Lathlin will appear in The Pas court on Monday. The two males were known to each other and both are from the community, which is located 100 kilometers from The Pas.
