Oswald is running for leadership in Manitoba NDP election and yesterday she visited our community.  

While here Oswald spent time talking with delegates in The Pas and OCN.  She also stopped by 102.9 CJAR to talk about her northern tour. 

Oswald says she made OCN, The Pas, and Norway House all part of her tour and is recognizing the vast untapped potential in the north, from forestry and mining to hydro and shipping to tourism and fishing. She also said she’s committed to working together to create jobs and opportunities in the north 

Oswald said If elected Premier she would ensure the north has a strong voice by working with northern leaders and families before decisions are made.

Theresa Oswald, along with Steve Ashton and Greg Selinger are all candidates  for March 8 election.
