In a news release provided by The Town of The Pas, it states that Mayor Scott says that the newspaper used confidential information  in a story without any follow-up or clarification prior to print.

Confidential information that was discussed in an “ IN – Camera” meeting of Council was shared with someone outside the organization.

Mayor and council see this as a serious breach of the Manitoba Municipal Act and have passed a resolution to a carry out a formal investigation in the matter.
