The 4 year term of council is almost up and last night they held their final meeting. The current term of council will come to an end next Wednesday, the day of the next municipal election. McLaughlin talked about a few highlights from the previous 4 years including the centennial, the waste disposal by-law which brought recycling up 400 percent and surviving the last winter after all the water breaks. Mayor McLaughlin also said the previous 4 years was a learning curve for council, and that the community is better then it was 4 years ago. Alan McLaughlin will be seeking re election for mayor next Wednesday along with Terry Hendrickson and Jim Scott.
