Fifty Five Students from Mary Duncan School will have the opportunity to attend th We Day celebrations in Winnipeg just one month after a large part of their school was destroyed by fire.

Premier Greg Selinger announced during his visit to The Pas last week that the students had their hearts set on attending WII Day prior to the fire, and that they had found the money to send them so they could attend and bring back that enthusiasm and confidence to help in their community and on the national front.

The Manitoba Government is providing $ 10,000.00 . split between Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning and Manitoba Youth opportunities.

We Day is scheduled for the MTS Centre Oct. 29.
