This week is fire safety and prevention week in The Pas. It’s a great week to pay attention to fire safety and prevention with the Thanksgiving Long Weekend this weekend. The Pas Fire Chief Greg Zimmerman says the theme this year is “working smoke alarms save lives”. Zimmerman said it’s important to check you’re smoke alarm to make sure it still works. He says if you have replaced the batteries and it still isn’t working to replace it. Also this Saturday the Fire Department will be hosting an open house for everyone to visit. From 11-3 the main doors will be open and you can see all the equipment set up, as well as videos, handouts, coffee and hot chocolate.
