It's officially less than a month until Opaskwayak Indian Days.
One of the highlights of the festival is the Miss Opaskwayak Indian Days Princess competition. The competitors are all aboriginal girls between the ages of 14-18, currently attending or just finishing high school. The competition includes a talent show which factors in to the final results. One of the organizers Jenna Brown encourages support for the girls and the festival as a whole..
The 49th annual Opaskwayak Indian days takes place august 11-17 on OCN and this year's theme is "the Year of our sisters in Spirit".
