The Northern Manitoba Blizzard now have the rest of the week off after beating Winkler last night to wrap up their two-game series.

Yesterday’s contest should serve as a major confidence boost for the Blizz, as Winkler carried a one-goal advantage heading into the final frame.

The third period saw the Blizz stay disciplined and fire in two unanswered goals to secure the 4-3 victory.

Kade Stringer scored the game-tying goal, while Sutten Emelson potted the game-winner.

The Blizz are back in action next weekend for their Impact Tour, with their two games against the Winnipeg Blues taking place in Cross Lake and Norway House.

More information can be found on the Blizz’s website or their official Facebook page.
