The Northern Manitoba Blizzard capped off their week of play this past Friday with a loss against division rival Waywayseecappo. The Wolverines jumped out to an early lead with back-to-back goals in the first period. After a quiet second frame, newcomer Seth Quayle buried his first goal of the season—and his first as a member of the Northern Manitoba Blizzard—just thirteen seconds into the final period.
Following that goal, however, Wayway exploded offensively, rattling off five unanswered goals. Lucas Lorenz added one more for the Blizzard, but Wayway pulled away to secure a 7–2 victory.
The Blizz are back home this Friday and Saturday for another weekend doubleheader against the Neepawa Titans. Puck drop for both games is set for 7:00 p.m.
