The Northern Manitoba Blizzard ended their twelve-game losing streak in spectacular fashion last night against division rival Swan Valley. The Blizz opened the game with two unanswered goals from Assistant Captain Hunter Dingman and centerman Kanye Huang. Swan Valley’s Gavin Bartha cut the lead to one in the early stages of the second, but shortly after, Jett Fogle buried one to make it a 3–1 game heading into the final frame.
The third period belonged to the Blizz, as they tacked on two more goals to seal a 5–1 win for Northern Manitoba. With the losing skid now in the rearview mirror, the Blizz will look to add two more wins this Friday and Saturday when they welcome the Winnipeg Blues and Neepawa Titans for back-to-back games. 102.9 CJAR will be broadcasting Saturday’s matchup against the Titans. Puck drop for both games is set for 7:00 P.M.
