Volleyball action is heating up today and throughout the weekend across the province. Northern schools will not only stay local to compete in regional championships but will also head south to represent their communities in various tournaments.
Locally, both the JV Girls and Boys Zone 11 Championships are taking place at MBCI, beginning today and running through tomorrow. Elsewhere, several northern schools — including MBCI, Hapnot Collegiate, and R.D. Parker Collegiate — are making the trek to Brandon to compete in Neelin High School’s DIG Volleyball Tournament. A total of 48 schools are registered to take part in the massive event, with games being played in multiple gymnasiums across the city.
