Some high school volleyball action took place over the weekend, and first off, congratulations are in order for MBCI’s Senior Varsity Boys Volleyball team. The boys travelled down to Neepawa Area Collegiate to compete in their Invitational Tournament.

After finishing round-robin play with a strong 7–1 record, the Spartans went on to dominate in bracket play and advanced to the finals, representing The Pas against the Ebb and Flow Thunderbirds. Following two hard-fought sets, a deciding third set was needed — and it was the Thunderbirds who ultimately came out on top.

In other volleyball news, MBCI hosted a JV Girls and Boys volleyball tournament over the weekend. The girls’ final saw the Swan Valley Tigers defeat the Major Pratt Trojans in dominating fashion. Meanwhile, in the boys’ final, the host team Spartans came out victorious against the Mikisew Mikisew.
