The OCN Storm, on the other hand, are riding a three-game win streak after sweeping Peguis in their weekend slate. Saturday’s game saw Peguis jump out to a fast start, netting back-to-back goals before Justin Eetuck put the Storm on the board early in the first. The Storm then carved out a lead with a pair of shorthanded goals to make it 3–2 heading into the third. Peguis’s Brody McPherson earned a hat trick after scoring the game-tying goal on a power play early in the final frame. Still, it ultimately wasn’t enough, as Keestin Danielson buried his second of the night just past the ten-minute mark to seal a 4–3 victory.
Sunday’s matchup was tight and competitive through two periods. Peguis’s Darian Sinclair made it a 3–2 game early in the third after capitalizing on a power play, but the Storm took control from there. Cedrick Puffalt and Keestin Danielson combined for three straight goals to put the game away, with the final score 6–2.
The Storm are once again on the road this weekend as they take on the Norway House North Stars.
