Busy Weekend Ahead for Northern Manitoba High School Sports

It’s another busy weekend for high school sports in Northern Manitoba.

First off, best of luck to both the boys soccer squad from R.D. Parker Collegiate and the girls soccer team from Hapnot Collegiate Institute. Both crews are in Stonewall today and tomorrow, competing in the Provincial A-AAA Soccer Championship. The Trojans’ first game will be against the Niverville Panthers, while the Kopper Kweens take on the Garden Valley Zodiacs.

Meanwhile, the varsity boys volleyball team from MBCI will be representing The Pas at Morris School’s Red River Invitational Varsity Boys Volleyball Tournament.

Lastly, Swan Valley Regional Secondary School is hosting their Doug Oberlin Varsity Girls and Boys Volleyball Tournament today and tomorrow. The girls’ side of the tournament will feature several northern schools, including Hapnot Collegiate Institute, MBCI, and R.D. Parker Collegiate. Northern teams competing on the boys’ side include the Frontier Raiders, R.D. Parker Collegiate Trojans, and Hapnot Kopper Kings.
