The Northern Manitoba Blizzard's Centennial Cup journey came to a halt last Friday, following a 4–0 loss to the Rockland Nationals in quarterfinal action.

The host team in the Calgary Canucks went on to win the tournament, defeating the SJHL's Melfort Mustangs 7–2 in Sunday's final.

The Blizzard returned home on Sunday and were welcomed by fans from across the RM. Next up for Team NorMan is their year-end dinner and awards banquet, taking place this Thursday at the Wescana Inn in their Rendezvous Room. Unfortunately, the Sunday deadline to purchase tickets has now passed.

Despite the early exit, the Northern Manitoba Blizzard not only hoisted the Turnbull Cup this 2024–2025 season but also put up an incredible fight in the Centennial Cup, making it clear that Junior A hockey once again runs through the North.
