Much like last year’s thrilling postseason matchup, a Game Seven will be needed to determine an MJHL champion, as the Northern Manitoba Blizzard and the Dauphin Kings are tied heading into their final matchup.
After a quiet first and second period, Marlen Edwards opened the scoring with the first goal of the night. With less than four minutes remaining, Rylan Gage tied things up after finishing a slick pass from defenceman Naaman Hofer. A late boarding penalty gave the Kings a power-play opportunity, and it was none other than Hofer who sealed the game with the winning power-play goal.
Game Seven is scheduled for this Thursday in Dauphin at Credit Union Place. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
