The MBCI badminton squad was in Thompson this past weekend, competing in their respective zone championships. They returned home with the Junior Varsity (JV) and Senior Varsity (SV) banners.

The weekend also included some strong individual performances from MBCI athletes. Jillian Koshel placed third in JV Singles, while Jake Polishchuk and Dominic Ducharme finished third in JV Boys Doubles. Ava Porter and Melanie Bignell earned second place in JV Girls Doubles, and Lucas Petit and Emma Breemersch claimed third in JV Mixed Doubles.

Badminton Provincials will take place later this week in Winnipeg, and several MBCI athletes will be travelling to represent the North.
