Dauphin centreman Havryil Simchuk’s goal in the first overtime of yesterday’s game against Portage clinched the Kings’ series win and secured their spot in the championship series against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard.

The Turnbull Cup Final will now feature the top two seeds in a classic MGEU West Division matchup. These teams faced off in the opening round of last year’s Turnbull Cup Playoffs, battling through a gruelling seven-game series that included a staggering eleven overtime periods.

They met six times during this past regular season, splitting the series evenly at 3–3 and setting the stage for what promises to be another intense showdown.
