The Provincial AA Girls and Boys Basketball Championship wrapped up this past weekend, with both postseason tournaments occurring here in the north. The Provincial Girls Championship took place in Flin Flon, where the Warren Wild Cats secured first place with their 52-36 win over the Souris Sabres. The Provincial Boys Championship was set up here in The Pas and had the Gabrielle-Roy Les Roys win the top spot after defeating the Immanuel Christian Falcons 85-65. The MBCI Boys team placed third after besting the Carberry Cougars in the bronze medal game. The Hapnot Kopper Kweens and MBCI Girls would place sixth and seventh in their tourney.
