The Junior Varsity Zone 11 Basketball Championship starts today for Northern Manitoba boys and girls. The JV Boys Championship will occur at the Helen Betty Osborne Ininiw Education Resource Centre, and the JV Girls Championship will be held at Hapnot Collegiate Institute. A total of six schools will be competing in the JV Boys Championship. Pool 1 will feature the Froniter Raiders, HBOIERC Huskies and the Mel Johnson Eagles, whereas Pool 2 will consist of the Hapnot Kopper Kings, Margaret Barbour Spartans and Oscar Lathlin Wolverines. The JV Girls Champion will have only four schools in one pool; the round-robin tournament will include the Frontier Raiders, Hapnot Kopper Kweens, Margaret Barbour Spartans and Cheif Sam Cook Tataskweyak. Two schools will be crowned Zone 11 Champions tomorrow.
