The varsity girls' basketball team of MBCI were a perfect 3-0 and crowned tournament champions at this past weekend's Kopper Crown Classic in Flin Flon. The Spartans dominated in their first win against Frontier Collegiate, beating the Raiders 64-32. In the next matchup against host school Hapnot, the Spartans narrowly defeated the Kopper Kweens by four points. The final game against Creighton was another hard-fought battle for MBCI, but the Spartans came out on top, beating the Kodiaks 47-42. The Spartans will now prepare for next month's Swan Valley Coop Varsity Girls Basketball Tournament in Swan River.
