The Northern Manitoba Blizzard continued their winning ways after picking up their first win of 2025 against Waywayseecappo. Blizzard newcomer Jack Linton, formerly of the Winnipeg Blues, put the Blizzard on the board first. Shortly after, Quincy Supprien notched his sixteenth goal, and Brett Ward scored his third power-play goal of the season, making it a 3-0 game going into the second period.
Wolverine forward Aiden Herring was the lone goal scorer in the second period. Supprien then scored his second goal of the night late in the third. Waywayseecappo defenseman Ryley Cyca managed to score his first goal of the year shortly after, but it was too little, too late.
Much like the past six wins, a lot of credit goes to goaltender Taye Timmerman, who has been amazing during this win streak. The Blizzard defeated Waywayseecappo 4-2, extending their win streak to six games. They will now prepare to welcome the Winnipeg Blues to town this upcoming Saturday.
