The two JV volleyball teams of MBCI wrapped up their seasons this past weekend after competing in the Provincial A/AA JV Championships. The JV Girls played their championship at Immanuel Christian School in Winnipeg, while the JV Boys competed at The King's School.
The JV Girls were extremely competitive in their pool but unfortunately fell short during pool play, finishing 0-3. In bracket play, they lost a hard-fought match against the Souris Sabres in the opening round.
Similarly, the JV Boys were aggressive during pool play but ended up placing third with a 1-2 record. However, they went on a strong run in bracket play, securing two back-to-back wins and advancing to the semifinals. In the semis, they ultimately fell short to the Major Pratt Trojans in three sets. The Boys then faced the Glenboro Panthers for third place but lost in two sets.
Both JV squads capped off their seasons as Zone 11 champions and did a great job representing the North in the Provincial Championships.
