In Saturday’s game, the Storm put on an offensive clinic, scoring four goals in the first and second periods. The third period wasn’t much different, as the Storm notched three more. However, the Storm did not earn a shutout win due to the North Stars’ Lucien Tait-Reaume, who scored a power-play goal at the 11-minute mark. Drew Peters recorded a hat trick, and the other goals were scored by McKenzie Stanton, Cedrick Puffalt, Jacey Melnyk, and Wyatt Hall.
Yesterday's game was another offensive clinic for the Storm. In the first period, Keillan Holland racked up four goals for the Storm, three of which were power-play goals. In the second period, the North Stars got the ball rolling with two unanswered goals, making the score 4-2. Early in the third, Logan Marr notched his first goal of the year, but shortly after, the North Stars responded with a goal, making it 5-3. Keillan Holland ultimately scored the game-winning goal after that response from the North Stars. Norway House made a push at the end but ultimately fell short, with the final score being 6-5.
The Storm will be travelling to Cross Lake this upcoming weekend to battle against the number two team in the KJHL, the Cross Lake Islanders. After this two-game road trip, the Storm will play their remaining four games at home before the new year.
