The Blizzard are now Riding a Three Game Win-Streak

The Northern Manitoba Blizzard are now riding a three-game win streak after going 2-0 this past weekend.

The Blizz played two road games, starting with a matchup against the Virden Oil Capitals on Saturday.

Not only did the Blizz score five goals, but they also earned their second shutout of the season.

Two goals came on the power play, with Miguel Bouvier and Max Collyer each finding the back of the net.

The remaining goals were scored by Loughlan McMullan and Quincy Supprien, who netted two.

Yesterday's game was a hard-fought battle against Waywayseecappo.

There was no scoring in the opening period, but the Blizz finally got things rolling with a power play goal early in the second, scored by Marlen Edwards.

When the third period came around, once again, Edwards buried a goal early, notching his eighth of the year.

The Blizzard ended up winning 2-0, with goaltender Alexander Reedy earning his second shutout of the season.

The Blizz will now play their next three games at home, starting with two this Friday and Saturday as they welcome the Portage Terriers to town.

The game on the 19th will be against division rival Neepawa.

The Blizz are now tied with the Dauphin Kings for first place in the MGEU West Division.
