Blizz Pick Up Two Points This Past Weekend

The Northern Manitoba Blizzard picked up two points this past weekend after playing two games on the road.

On Friday the Blizz took on the uncrowned top team in the M.J.H.L  in the Steinbach Pistons and lost 6-2.

The Blizz were very much in the game until the third period when the Pistons scored two unanswered goals, Max Collyer and Cheechoo Lathlin notched the two lone goals for the Blizz.

Saturday was a much different story and result as the Blizz defeated the Selkirk Steelers 3-2, Selkirk is currently the top team in the league having twenty-two points overall.

Sam Zagari and Keenan McNeill both scored power-play goals in the first and second periods, and it was Sam Zagari once again who put the nail in the coffin late in the third period.

The Blizz will now play four games in the next two weeks here at home, this upcoming weekend they'll take on the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and then next weekend they welcome the Winkler Flyers to town.
