Over all only three penalties were served during the 60 minutes of play, two of them, one of which includes a major slashing penalty were served by the Swan Valley Stampeders during the second period.

During the third period, Riley scored again to break off a 1-all tie and Quincy Supprien scored in the final two minutes to end the night 3-1 for the Blizzard.

The team now sits second in the MGEU West Division at 32 points after the Dauphin Kings fell 2-1 against the Virden Oil Capitals last night.

The Blizzard are preparing for a two-day road trip in which they face the Winkler Flyers on Friday and the Winnipeg Freeze on Saturday.
